John Davidson Color provides full Color Grading service for footage shot on all cameras  including the RED One and the new CANNON 5D/7D cameras.  We also provide consulting services prior and during your shoot.  We help you gain insight in understanding how to obtain the most dynamic images by helping you set up camera tests before production begins.


RED CAMERA
The RED raw format, by nature, is very flat and compact, designed to obtain the most dynamic range of the shot, making it “colorist dependent”.  We are experienced in capturing the most exquisite images and taking full advantage of what this revolutionary camera has to offer.


CANON 5D/7D CAMERAS
Hollywood has truly embraced the HDSLR revolution and it is only a matter of time before we see HDSLR’s used everywhere.  This truly affordable camera was successfully used in the 2010 season finale of the TV series HOUSE. The shallow depth of field afforded by the prime lens selection and large pickup sensor gives the image a more human and film-like look.  Shooting flat (minimum saturation and contrast) can provide a great range for Color Grading in post, and helps produce a more film-like look.
